Barak Warns Iran Nuclear Program "Quite Advanced" International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, 28 Jan 2008Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned in an interview with The Washington Post published this weekend that Iran is further along in its nuclear weapons program than the conclusions reached in the recent US National Intelligence Estimate. "Clearly the Iranians are aiming at nuclear capability... We think that they are quite advanced, much beyond the level of the Manhattan Project. We suspect they are probably already working on warheads for ground-to-ground missiles... [and] that probably they have another clandestine enrichment operation beyond the one in Natanz," Barak said.
